I always receive a daily devotional message from one of Christian Pastor in the middle east when I worked there more than 10 years ago, and this one of those messages he sent me..
March 10, 2023 Devotion For The Day “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God.” (2 TIMOTHY 3:16 NKJV) THE BIBLE GIVES US ALL WE NEED + All Scripture is given by Inspiration of God (the Greek says, “All Scripture is God-breathed,” which means it is the Word of God, and, thereby, infallible!), and is profitable for Doctrine (all we believe, teach, and do must be based squarely on the Scriptures), for reproof (proclaims the use of the Word of God in setting direction), for correction (refers to restoration to an upright state), for instruction in Righteousness (presents the Bible as the only guide for such instruction). 2 Timothy 3:16 states, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” That’s quite an advertisement! The apostle Paul was saying that God gave us the Bible to teach us about Himself, to give us practical instructions on how to live, and to equip us completely with everything we need to know in order to live a godly life on this earth. The Bible delivers on its promises. I know, because I have it, I’ve been reading it, and I’m trying to live by it. It covers all aspects of life. Its pages contain essential truths, instructions, and teachings. It alone is the book for every need. Have you read it lately? The Bible gives us all we need to live our lives for God each day; But it won’t help if we don’t read and follow what its pages say.
PRAYER: Thank You, Lord God, for the Bible, Your Word to us. Give us wisdom and guidance as we read its pages. Make us sensitive to Your voice and give us hearts to obey. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
